The Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K is the world's first full UltraHD broadcast monitor to feature 12G-SDI for a native display of 2160p60. It therefore supports the most up-to-date Ultra HD resolutions - as well as having automatic switching to SD and HD-SDI format using Teranex processing The SmartView will automatically detect the input format and instantly re-clock.

The SmartView 4K supports VESA mounting ideal for location use and has an integrated backlit control panel for easy access to features such as built-in 3D Lookup Tables (LUTs) and H/V Delay, Blue Only customisable frame markers – also accessible external Ethernet.

Its versatility extends further to having both AC and 12V DC inputs for battery or mains power, the inputs for power and signal (including the latest 12G SDI) are side mounted to save space in tight locations. There is even an SMPTE compatible optical fibre SDI socket should you opt for an optical fibre SDI module and connect via optical fibre directly to the monitor.

SmartView 4K gives you both easy front panel control or remote control from a Mac or PC connected over Ethernet. The backlit front panel buttons make them easy to use in dimly lit studio or location environments. The front panel lets you set input selection, brightness, selection of 3D LUTS and advanced broadcast features such as H/V delay, blue only and frame guides. Broadcast Features
SmartView 4K includes features that let you monitor all technical aspects of your images. With the H/V delay feature, you can shift the image to the left and down selectively or at the same time, so you can monitor data and information in the SDI blanking. Now it’s easy to keep track of normally hidden information such as embedded audio data, subtitles, VITC and other information stored off the edges of the SDI image. The blue only feature lets you check hue and image noise. Professional 3D LUTs are supported so you can change between log and linear gamma, or load monitor calibration LUTs, and when aligning elements, the customizable frame guides are ideal.
