Half-macro and conventional tracking accuracy have been combined by increasing the zoom position detection performance by three times, and telephoto operation offers precise zoom tracking control up to eight times faster than other lenses due to wobbling control at 240 Hz. Suppressed focus breathing allows shooting still, smooth video with ease, and dust-, splash-, and freeze-resistance allows shooting even under harsh conditions.
