Thanks to the dedicated power line present on every Matrix Sleds the vibrations perceived on the gimbal due to insufficient power are
an ancient memory.

SmartSystem recommends, whenever possible, to prefer the dedicated power path via C-battery.

The Innovative Battery management based on V-Lock Batteries slots let you choose to operate +12V or 24V with an extra C-Battery Slots.

A 1.575" / 40mm Carbon fiber Telescopic center post grants the ultimate rigidity of the system defining a total weight of 5.5kgs without counterbalance weights.


- Arm X1 -
Designed, engineered, manufactured and hand built exclusively in Italy.

Every single part of Arm X1 is CNC milled inside our facility from the starting stock to the end shape. There are various Aluminum alloys out there but only AL7075 Ergal alloy, the most performing one, was used for Arm X1. Ergal 7075 aluminum guarantees performance similar to that offered by carbon steel at a fraction of the weight. For this reason it is used on high performance automotive, aerospace and robotics industry. Special alloys can lead to special dimensions. Arm X1 is currently the slimmest arm on the market with an outstanding load capabilities.

Tons of Features within an Unique Design
Different design, different approach to problems... like the Arm post system, thought to be reliable and rigid with plenty of options available.

Mathematically speaking, the best answer that a system can give to an external stimulus is what is called "Critically damped" one. The tricky part is this answer is strictly connected to the load applied and to the "force" of the springs used to counterbalance that load. So the question is: How can I get that?

The patented design of XTune, let you tune your ArmX1 to answer exactly as you prefer interacting as a "selective multiplier" of the force of the springs installed.

The set life is frantic and setting up an arm for a new load could be time consuming, especially when the new setup is dramatically different respect to the previous shot...

The use of compression springs and the unique leverism obtained with XTune led us to embrace the power of the springs inside the canisters...The result is a design that give to you plenty of space be canisters so no more accidentally stuck clothes, cables and you know.... fingers!

Based on industry standard mating block with a specific attention to right-handed or left-handed operators as well as front mount and backmount vest.

Despite the tiny dimensions, Arm X1 can lift 32kg (70.4 lbs) with an ultimate maximum payload of 34kg (74.9 lbs). The maximum boom range is 728mm (28.5"). Ranging from 6kg (13.2lbs) up to 34kg (74.9lbs), you can definitely fly your current or future setup.

Since March 2021, all the ArmX1 will be equipped with DYNASPRING exclusive Patent Pending Technology that dynamically change and adapt the overall elastic response of the installed spring all over the boom range ensuring an extremely soft operation.

- Vest Lite -
Engineered around a proven design and based on top quality materials.

Especially for female operators, the possibility to move the thoracic plate on the fly means the ability of the vest to perfectly adapt itself to the female body. Every single plate can be moved independently ensuring the the maximum comfort for operators. The shape of the hip pad and hip support ensures maximum leg freedom and, at the same time, stability for the vest.

The thoracic pads can be stacked in order to give to the operator the best possible comfort. Based on Industry Standard Mating block made from solid Ergal T7075 Aluminum. The ratchet system let you increase the tightening force progressively. The passage from Regular to Goofy operation is fast and straightforward.

The Black/Yellow handle on the back was designed not only to ensure a safe grab for the operator assistant, but it can be used as safety handle in emergency cases. Every textile part can be detached from the Vest and can be easily washed. The 100% cotton lining ensures strengths and durability.

Every component of Vest lite is not molded but milled from solid aluminum, shoot peened and hard anodized to ensure the maximum durability. Extensive tests and studies were made to grant strength to every component but above all to ensure the maximum lightness.

With only 2.9kg (6.4lbs) of weight, Vest lite is most probably the lightest Vest on the market today. A padded backpack is included in the package to carry safely your new vest.

Trolley based on Explorer Cases 7745 modified in order to allow the protection for a SMARTCAM ARM (X-LITE or X1) and for a SMARTCAM SLED (MATRIX series).
