High-Speed VXD Autofocus

Tamron utilizes a VXD linear autofocus motor to allow the 35-100mm f/2.8 to deliver rapid and ultra-quiet focus performance that benefits both photo and video capturing.

Throughout the entire zoom range, focusing is very responsive because VXD uses electromagnetic motion, unlike traditional gear-driven systems.

Tamron Lens Utility provides users the ability to customize autofocus behavior, such as selecting between linear or non-linear focus ring control.
