DJI Terra is a comprehensive 3D reconstruction software that combines modern photogrammetry technologies with support for LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data. Integration with DJI drones provides a cohesive hardware and software solution that streamlines every stage of workflow—from data collection and processing to final analysis. It supports both visible light camera data and multispectral imaging and point clouds, ensuring flexibility and accuracy in a variety of operational scenarios.

Photorealistic models thanks to Gaussian Splatting technology
The introduction of 3D Gaussian Splatting technology allows DJI Terra to generate exceptionally realistic 3D models from photos. This allows you to easily reproduce complex structures such as monuments, buildings, vegetation, and reflective materials, while maintaining high visual fidelity. Compared to traditional oblique photogrammetry, this technique significantly improves the handling of transparent elements, reflections, and fine details. Furthermore, it allows for the generation of distortion-free orthophotomaps, further improving the quality of the final material.

Fast processing even for large projects
DJI Terra offers exceptional performance. It processes approximately 500 images per hour, meaning reconstruction time for modeling a single block is only about 30–40 minutes. For projects with more than 10,000 images, the technology operates twice as fast as the existing Terra Mesh engine. This high performance accelerates task completion and enables efficient model generation for large-scale projects.

It will work well in complex scenarios
Terra enables fast and accurate modeling of complex urban and industrial scenes. The software can process approximately 300-400 images per 1 GB of available RAM (Random Access Memory), and a single reconstruction task can encompass up to 30,000 images. This capability allows for the construction of models of entire districts, industrial parks, or infrastructure networks, providing robust support for the digitalization of cities and intelligent spatial management.

Low hardware requirements, greater availability
Despite its advanced capabilities, DJI Terra operates stably even on moderately capable hardware. A 4GB graphics card and 32GB RAM are sufficient for the software to run smoothly. This allows you to perform advanced reconstructions without the need for expensive workstations.

Universal export formats
DJI Terra's reconstruction results can be exported with a single click to popular formats such as PLY or B3DM (3D Tiles). This solution enables easy integration with external platforms used in surveying, spatial planning, computer game development, and film production. Data standardization facilitates reuse and widespread distribution.

Accurate 2D and 3D photogrammetry
DJI Terra generates high-quality 3D models, point clouds, orthophotos, and DSM (Digital Surface Model) terrain models from imagery. You can also adjust the resolution of 2D maps and the mesh density of 3D models, and export results to industry-standard formats. Furthermore, when the software is paired with DJI drones equipped with RTK (Real-Time Kinematic, a precise satellite positioning technology), it's possible to create maps with accuracy up to 1:500—without the use of ground control points.

Efficient data processing
DJI Terra operates quickly and efficiently enough to generate results in the field, especially for smaller projects. For larger 3D reconstructions, the software can process up to 30,000 images in three days on a single workstation, or in just 21 hours using cluster technology. For 2D reconstructions, 5,000 images can be processed in less than two hours, or in cluster mode in about 80 minutes.

Advanced LiDAR data reconstruction
DJI Terra supports advanced integration of LiDAR data and visible light imagery. A single flight using the Zenmuse L2 simultaneously produces precise point clouds, 2D maps, and 3D mesh models. This solution makes the final reconstructions more complete and detailed—even for complex structures like bridges. Furthermore, the use of RTK and PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) enables centimeter-level accuracy without the use of ground control points. DJI Terra also allows for automatic creation of flight paths based on local 3D models or point clouds—including those from external sources.

Larger-Scale Reconstruction for LiDAR Data
Terra can process approximately 1 GB of point cloud data for every 1 GB of available RAM. This enables smooth management of complex projects. What does this mean in practice? A computer with 32 GB of RAM can process up to 120 GB of information, covering an area of approximately 10 km². For city-scale data, units with 128 GB of RAM can be used.

Multispectral reconstructions for agriculture
DJI Terra supports data from DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral and Phantom 4 Multispectral drones, enabling the creation of NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) or NDRE (Normalized Difference Red Edge) vegetation index maps. It also allows the generation of reflectance maps and spraying routes for DJI Agras drones, including variable-rate versions. Simply select the crop type (agricultural or orchard), and the software creates optimized 2D maps. All this allows for noticeable yield increases while reducing costs.

Cluster Technology – Extreme Performance
The software is designed to work in distributed environments, allowing you to process massive amounts of data without the hardware limitations of a single workstation. A five-workstation configuration can process 30,000 images in approximately 21 hours. You can also scale the number of devices based on project needs.

Tight hardware-software integration
DJI Terra works with a wide range of DJI Enterprise hardware, including the DJI Matrice 4E, DJI Matrice 400, Zenmuse P1, Zenmuse L2, and D-RTK 3 Station. Together, they create a complete photogrammetry and professional LiDAR mapping solution – perfect for a wide range of applications!

Direct connection to DJI Modify
With just one click, you can transfer your model from DJI Terra directly to DJI Modify—DJI's premier mesh and point cloud editor. It features a variety of advanced features, including smoothing, noise reduction, sampling, terrain classification, and exporting results to GIS (Geographic Information System) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. The combination of DJI Terra, DJI Modify, and DJI drones creates a comprehensive system—from data collection and modeling to editing and sharing.
