The Nanlite MixWand 18 LED Wand incorporates three LED light sources into one handheld light fixture. Switch between a "traditional" multi-LED source producing a harder light; surface mount (SMD) LEDs that provide a soft light, and Red, Green and Blue LEDs which can be mixed to create more than 360 colors at the touch of a button. Whether you need hard lighting with more throw, diffused lighting for flattering portraits and up close work, or colored light to set moods and express emotions you can do it all in one unit with no additional accessories. Applications include creating a variety of background colors by directing the RGB light onto a plain white wall or canvas, adding interesting hues and highlights to portrait photography, and setting mood and tone for music videos, short films, or any video production. Also, thanks to its versatile 3 light source design and built-in special effect modes; the MixWand 18 is a fantastic light painting tool for everything from automotive photography to light writing. Sized at 2.6 x 1.4 x 23.3 inches the MixWand 18 can provide up to 1421 lumens (1108Lux @1m 5600K, 960 Lux @ 1m 3200K) of illumination. While it is designed to be handheld, the MixWand 18 can also be mounted directly on any standard tripod head (not included) via its 1/4" 20 receiver mount. With the Nanlite MixWand 18 LED Wand, you can quickly achieve beautiful, studio-quality results without adding plastic filters or cloth diffusion. Control knobs enable you to dial in brightness from 0-100%, temperature from warm to cold (3200K-5600K), and hue when in RGB mode. A rear-facing display shows the color temperature, brightness level, and hue information, allowing you to make precision adjustments and making it easy to recreate your lighting set up in future if you need to. The MixWand 18 is ideal for use in the studio or on location. It can be powered via either mains with the included AC adapter, compatible Sony NP-F style batteries (1x NP-F550 included) or DC through D-tap cable(sold separately) and also features a built-in battery level indicator. Also included is the Nanlite 2 in 1 Reciprocal Charger for Sony NP-F style batteries. Equipped with both USB power in and out ports, this exclusive charger can also be used to turn any Sony NP-F style battery into a USB power bank to charge cell phones and other devices.
